Community Midwives

Community midwives are responsible for nursing care in pregnancy and childbirth. They hold antenatal clinics at Angmering Medical Centre.

 

Community Nurses

The district nurses provide a wide range of nursing services for patients at home. Messages for the nurse can be left at reception. They are not based at either surgery.

Health Visitors

The health visitors provide advice for families, particularly those with children under the age of five. They also offer information and support on parenting, child development, immunisations, postnatal depression and lifestyle concerns (e.g. smoking cessation and diet).

One Call One Team (ONE-CALL)

This is for patients, carers and relatives to ask about community health services which can be provided in the patient's own home. Calls can be made about changing dressings, taking blood samples, support for patients after leaving hospital, taking care of patients recovering from falls, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
